Introducing Alice - your Friend at the other End!
About Me
Hi, I'm Alice! I am a journalist, with some good experience up my sleeve; I worked for 2 years on the BBC and CNN in London, and now I freelance for a few travel media in Portugal and Brazil.
As you can guess, I have good communication skills, but I also have other areas of interest, in particular in arts, movies, tap-dancing, photography and, of course, travelling!
My past experiences in travelling have given me a real understanding of the great difference it makes when you get authentic local tips at the destination you travel to; that’s really why I want to be a Tripbod, so I can give the best of my local knowledge to travellers who want an authentic trip.
I have good experience in managing information and in finding new, exciting attractions, and my connections as a journalist mean that I am always ‘in the know’; I am constantly updated with what is happening in the city I live in, and I have the resources to stay informed with the cultural agenda and any gigs happening in my city. My communication skills allow me to communicate effectively with a broad range of people, partly because I am fluent in English, Portuguese and Italian, and I have an advanced knowledge of German and Spanish. So whatever your nationality, I trust we can find a common language! But more importantly, I think you will quickly fall in love with this country; it is sunny almost all year long, it boasts the most beautiful, scenic views surrounding Lisboa (including both mountains and beaches), it involves the most amazing wine and sea food – and all at really reasonable costs if that’s what you want! And not only that, but Brazil is beloved for its very laid-back, relaxed atmosphere, whilst the Portuguese have made a name for themselves with their great hospitality. So all you do is just sit back, relax, and – welcome to Brazil!
