About Me

I am Zafer, I am originally from Cappadocia and I run a family tour company here. I have travelled all around Turkey and some countries around the world. Mostly to Europe, East Asia and neighbor countries.

My interests are travelling and walking, trekking and mountain biking in my local area. Once a month, my friends and I go 'moon walking'. That is walking in the night by the light of the moon. I love to take photographs of the stunning scenery as I go.

Recently I have developed an interest in the cultural and religious history of my area because of its importance as a meeting point of several religions. I have been reading many books on the area and would love to share this knowledge with visitors.

I started 25 years ago to work in tourism and have knowledge about hotels, tours and travel related services. I used to work as a tour guide for 15 years and tour itinerary planner for more than 8 years.

The advantage of being a licensed tour guide for many touristy areas gives me to design itineraries not only for my area also for other areas which are connected to Cappadocia. I do speak English, Japanese and German.

Since Turkey is not a very developed tourism country and has limited resources it is difficult for individual traveler to get to necessary travel information. That is why, I would like to help and would be really glad to share my knowledge with you.
